What is Anapanasati?

A short introduction to the breath-awareness meditation taught at MYDK and across the PSSM lineage.

Anapanasati — literally 'awareness of in-breath and out-breath' — is the foundational meditation practice in the Pyramid Spiritual Societies Movement. The practice is simple in form but profound in effect: sit, close the eyes, and watch the breath as it enters and leaves the body. No counting, no controlling. Over time, the chatter of the mind subsides and a deeper stillness emerges.
